In February of this year Tyco, the parent company of ADT, announced its agreement to acquire Broadview Security, formally know as Brinks Home Security. When this acquisition is complete Brinks/Broadview with be marketed under the ADT Security Services name. As you may know, Brinks Home Security recently had to change their name to Broadview Security. Now their moniker will be changed once again but this time it will change to the world’s most well known name in the industry: ADT Security Services. All parties concerned are hoping that the greater name recognition and marketing prowess of ADT will result in tremendous synergies and opportunities for accelerated growth. Stay tuned for updates on this important story. The Brinks/Broadview organization is highly respected in the industry and second in size only to ADT.
The acquisition is projected to be fully complete in September of this year pending regulatory approval.
